What we do
Funda Kunye means Learn Together in isiXhosa with the understanding that not only are the children learning but the caregivers are too.
We have a holistic approach to the upliftment of the community through sustainable ECD centers, encouraging our caregivers to become entrepreneurs. Our projects are focused in the Imizamo Yethu and Hangberg areas of Hout Bay, Cape Town.
Our greatest desire is to see children reach their God-given potential through early learning programs, and caregivers equipped with the necessary ECD skills and resources to teach and reach those children.
We value putting Jesus at the center of all we do.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”
We value servant leadership which produces compassion and gratitude and reminds us to:
“Love your neighbour as yourself” Gal 5:14
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms”
1 Pet 4:10
We value strong moral principles, to be honest, truthful, and consistent.
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well”
We value responsibility to God for our actions and decisions, to our donors and our beneficiaries.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans”
We value pursuing excellence in everything we do.
“Whatever you do, do it heartily as for the Lord”
