Karen Temlett
Karen is a Montessori Pre-school Teacher who ran her own Early Childhood Development program for 20 years. She wants to see the educators empowered and equipped to effectively stimulate babies and toddlers in their care. Karen has extensive knowledge in the early learning sector and is expectant to see the long-term impact Funda Kunye has on children’s development, the financial sustainability of the educators, and the educational standards of the community.

Carina van der Merwe
Carina is an Occupational therapist with a passion for community development. Having worked in rural communities for many years, she values the importance of empowering communities with knowledge, skills and confidence; thus aiding ownership, accountability and sustainability. Carina can’t wait to see the impact Funda Kunye’s ECD training and curriculum implementation will have on the local community and its precious children.

Tasja White
Tasja has a BCom Degree in Marketing and Business Management and is the vibrant owner of Best Buddies Educare Centre (Pty) Ltd. Tasja is all about community and has a heart to see little ones given a better opportunity and start to life through education.
Noreen Henry
Noreen assists us with all things financial. She has worked in the financial sector for over 15 years, bringing invaluable skills and experience with her. She believes the training Funda Kunye offers will have a huge impact on both the IY and Hangberg communities of Hout Bay.

Rachelle Tilney
Rachelle offers her graphic designer and social media expertise to us. With a deep desire to give back and make a positive impact in the lives of young children and their families, she has chosen to work with Funda Kunye, as we focus on providing Early Childhood Development (ECD) training in marginalized areas of Hout Bay.
As our social media guru, Rachelle focuses on increasing our organization's reach and raising awareness about our programs and services. Her contribution helps us connect more effectively with our community and achieve our mission.

Nobantu Paliso
Nobantu has completed her NQF level 5 and has a Higher Certificate in Human Resource Management. She works at Best Buddies Daycare as a Teachers Assistant gaining valuable experience.

Nobantu assists us in identifying the daycares in IY and provides support to educators on a monthly basis.
​
She is passionate about seeing growth and development in the ECD sector, especially during the child’s first 1000-2000 days.
Annie Bains
Annie is our prayer warrior and partner. She diligently prays for our foundation and seeks God's wisdom.
As a playschool owner in Hout Bay for 35 years, catering for 2-4-year-old children, Annie knows how important early education is for children's formative years; as it impacts their social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical development.
Annie believes with the training offered by Funda Kunye, the educators will be able to implement the correct age-appropriate stimulation to enable proper development to take place.
